Collaborative publishing workshop
During this collective gathering participants are invited to produce a book together. This will be guided by the visual artists Nishiko (Billytown Bookshop) and Patricia Pinheiro de Sousa (misprint-it), who have been running self-publishing initiatives and working on different book projects, some of which they will be presenting during the workshop.
This is an opportunity to learn, discuss and get inspired on collaborative publishing, as well as, contribute with own ideas and/or experiences. Participants are invited to bring along a contribution to this book that relates to a specific theme (to be announced later on). This can be an image, a photograph or any other printed material. All these contributions will be the departure point to think of a concept and structure the content of the book. In the end, each participant will receive a copy of a small edition of this co-edited self-published book.
Having previous experience on the field is not a requirement though. The idea is to gather different ideas and contributions from the most various minds! If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
Location: Stroom Den Haag
Date: Sunday, 24 September 2017, 13:00-16:00
